BIOL 050 - Provincial Biology (Human) (120 contact hours)
This course satisfies the requirements for a general or academic science. It deals with the basic elements of biology and is designed to meet entrance requirements for further academic or technical training. This Provincial Level stresses the functional areas of biology. Biology is the study of living organisms and life processes. In the study of Biology, adult learners can use their life experiences to expand their knowledge of both the macro and micro environments, their appreciation of the living world’s natural order and their role in it.
Prerequisites:
- “C” or higher in BIOL 040 or BIOL11 or equivalent; and
- “C” or higher in ENGL 030 or ENGL10 or equivalent or Advanced Level Placement on CCP English Assessment; and
- “C” or higher in MATH 030 or MATH10 or equivalent or Advanced Level Placement on CCP Math Assessment.
Restrictions: Must have been admitted to an NLC program.
