ECED 111 - Practicum 3 (4.0 credits)
This 3rd level practicum course provides students further opportunities to observe and work in community based early care and learning programs for children 30 months to school age. Emphasis is on: reflecting current research in best practice to enhance young children’s learning and development, achieving the ECE Occupational Competency skills, and professionalism. Students will be required to take a lead role in the centre’s day to day functions.
Prerequisites: HDEC 100 , HDEC 101 , HDEC 102 , HDEC 103 , ECED 109A , ECED 101 , ECEC 100 , ECTA 121, HDEC 104 , ECED 110 , ECEC 201 , ECEC 202 , and ECEC 200 (ECEC 201 , ECEC 202 , or ECEC 200 may be taken concurrently). Pre- or Co-Requisites: ECEC 201 ECEC 202 ECEC 200 may be taken concurrently Non-Course Prerequisites: Admission into the Early Childhood Education and Care Program, Ministry of Justice Schedule B CRC (works with children). Restrictions: Must be in an ECE or Human Services program (ECEC2,WIL, LTD,HSPD2,VISIT.EC)
