ECED 150 - The Early Childhood Education Professional (3.0 credits)
This course examines professional issues such as advocacy, ethics, current research, and growth trends. Students are introduced to the roles of the relevant provincial and federal professional organizations. Career options and continuing professionalism will also be examined.
Prerequisites: HDEC 100 , HDEC 101 , HDEC 102 , HDEC 103 , HDEC 104 , ECED 109A , ECED 101 , ECTA 121, ECEC 100 , ECED 110 , ECEC 200 , ECEC 201 , and ECEC 202 (ECEC 200 , ECEC 201 , and ECEC 202 may be taken concurrently). Pre- or Co-Requisites: ECEC 200 ECEC 201 ECEC 202 Non-Course Prerequisites: Admission into the Early Childhood Education and Care Program, Ministry of Justice Schedule B CRC (works with children) Restrictions: Must be in an ECE or Human Services program (ECEC2,WIL, LTD,HSPD2,VISIT.EC)
