EDAS 145 - Social Foundations of Special Education

(3.0 credits)

This course will outline the historical, legal and philosophical foundations of education in British Columbia. It will also explore the roles and responsibilities of the provincial government, school districts and local schools within British Columbia’s educational framework.

Prerequisites: Acceptance into the program HDEC 100 - Essential Skills for Human Service Workers  EDAS 141A - Education Assistant Foundations   Interpersonal Communications May be taken concurrently
Restrictions: Must be in the Education Assistant Program (EDAS1, EDAS2, or EDAS…X60)
