CRIM 103 - Psychological Explanations of Criminal and Deviant Behaviour (3.0 credits)
This course will explore and critically examine our contemporary understanding of criminal and deviant behaviour. Perspectives to be considered reflect theory and research from biogenetics, social learning, and psychology, with an emphasis on the psychological theories of learning, behaviour, development, personality, psychoanalysis, and cognition. The ways in which our understanding of criminal behaviour influences the punishment and treatment of offenders will also be considered.
Prerequisites: CRIM 101 or PSYC 101 ~ Lecture Hours: 45 ~
