EDAS 145 - Social Foundations of Special Education (3.0 credits)
This course will outline the historical, legal, and philosophical foundations of education in British Columbia. It will also explore the roles and responsibilities of the provincial government, schools districts, and local schools within British Columbia’s educational framework.
Pre- or Co-Requisites: EDAS 141A and HDEC 100 Non-Course Prerequisites: Criminal Record Check Schedule B works with “children” or works with “children and vulnerable adults.” Admission to Education Assistant Cerfiticate or Diploma Program. Restrictions: Must be in the Education Assistant Program (EDAS1, EDAS2, or EDAS…X60)
