PNUR 124 - Pharmacology 2

(30 contact hours)

This course builds on PNUR 114 - Pharmacology 1  to increase the learner’s understanding of pharmacotherapeutics prescribed for illnesses that clients experience across the lifespan. Topics include drug classifications and links with common diseases/illnesses based on a body system approach, and drug resistance.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Level 1 courses and Consolidated Practice Experience 1
Co-Requisites: PNUR 120   Professional Communication 2, PNUR 121   Professional Practice 2, PNUR 122  : Health Promotion 2, PNUR 123   Variations in Health 2, and PNUR 125  : Integrated Nursing Practice 2     
Restrictions: Must be in the Practical Nurse Diploma Program (PNUR2).
