PSYC 230 - Advanced Communication Skills

(3.0 credits)

Students develop advanced communication skills particularly relevant to the Human Services sectors through the study of current communication theories and models, in relation to individual, group, and community relationships. Students will gain an understanding of Carkhuff and Cognitive Therapy models of counselling.

Prerequisites: PSYC 220  or consent of the instructor
