BIOL 103 - Medical Microbiology (3.0 credits)
This course examines the basic principles of medical microbiology and the classification of microbes, emphasising their relevance to human health. Topics include the morphology, growth, and transmission of microorganisms; key aspects of microbial genetics; the epidemiology and role of pathogens in infectious diseases; human immunology; antimicrobial strategies; and the prevention and control of communicable diseases in humans.
