Career and College Preparation - Intermediate Level Certificate

Career and College Preparation provides the environment and resources for adults to acquire the knowledge necessary for successful entry into the labour market, advancement in careers, entry into further specialized training or enhance personal development.
Independent, self-directed learning is encouraged.
At this level (approximately grade 10 coursework), students could be working toward specific career or advanced education goals.
The program includes English, math, plus two of the following: computers, science, or social studies. Classes are generally individualized instruction.
Students may wish to enter a trade or vocational program once complete.

440 hours minimum; approximately 20 weeks.

Book, instruments, supplies, uniforms/clothing and third-party fees are additional. Domestic students needing assistance with fees, textbooks costs, travel or childcare should ask about the Adult Upgrading Grant.

Admission Requirements

18 years of age or older; or
-
17 years of age and out of school for at least one year; or

By special arrangement with the School District.
Note: There is no maximum age.

- The program is not eligible for Canada Student Loans, however fees and textbook funding may be available through the Adult Upgrading Grant (AUG).
