EDAS 146 - Understanding Learning Challenges

(3.0 credits)

This course explores the field of learning disabilities. The learning process will be reviewed with emphasis on information regarding children and adolescents with varying levels of learning abilities. Students will also examine approaches and strategies used with students to enhance learning abilities.

Prerequisites: HDEC 100 - Essential Skills for Human Service Workers  HDEC 101 - Human Development 1   EDAS 141A - Education Assistant Foundations  EDAS 145 - Social Foundations of Special Education  OR permission of instructor
Restrictions: Must be in the Education Assistant Program (EDAS1, EDAS2, or EDAS…X60)
