FRPC 300 - Family Resource Program Approach to Practice (3.0 credits)
This course will examine the key Family Resource Program approaches to practice while exploring how personal values, beliefs and biases affect work with families. Students will examine the links between early child development research and the intended Family Resource Program outcomes for children, parents, and communities. The importance of reflective practice and how it can be applied to Family Support work will be examined. The legal and ethical responsibilities in the areas of confidentiality, privacy, and responding to child protection concerns are also discussed.
