IHSW 105 - Community Helping Project

(3.0 credits)

In this capstone course, students will demonstrate competency in knowledge, skills and values related to human service work through theory and the implementation of a community helping project. This project will allow the students to identify a need in a community and to tailor a community development framework to address this need. Students will be expected to draw upon the skills and knowledge acquired throughout the Certificate program.

Prerequisites: HDEC 100 - Essential Skills for Human Service Workers  IHSW 101 - Introduction to Human Service Work  SSWD 120 - Ethics and Practice  SSWD 215 - Interpersonal Communications
