ESHS 037 - Essential Skills for Health Sciences - Intermediate Level

(120 contact hours)

This course provides students with the information, academics, and proficiency to impart Intermediate-Level Essential Skills for NLC’s Health Care programs that require a Grade 10 ability. With a focus on health sciences, this course will also develop effective cooperative communication, critical thinking skills, and personal and professional development.

Prerequisites: One of
     - “C” or higher in ENGL 026   or higher
     - “C” or higher in English 9 or higher
     - Intermediate Level Placement or higher on the CCP Assessment of English Skills
And one of
     - “C” or higher in MATH 025   or higher
     - “C” or higher in Math 9 or higher
     - Intermediate Level Placement or higher on the CCP Assessment of Math Skills
Restrictions: Must have been admitted to an NLC program.
