ECED 109A - Practicum 1 (3.0 credits)
This course offers supervised practical experience working with young children in an early learning setting. Emphasis is on beginning skills and reflective practice facilitating developmentally and culturally appropriate early learning and care. Another focus of the course will be on practicing beginning programming skills based on observation of children’s play (with a capable image of the child).
Pre- or Co-Requisites: HDEC 100 , HDEC 101 , HDEC 102 , HDEC 103 (or all may be taken concurrently). Non-Course Prerequisites: Admission into the Early Childhood Education and Care Program, Ministry of Justice Schedule B CRC (works with children) Restrictions: Must be in an ECE or Human Services program (ECEC2,WIL, LTD,HSPD2,VISIT.EC)
