PNUR 116 - Consolidated Practice Experience 1

(90 contact hours)

This first practice experience provides learners with an opportunity to integrate theory from Level 1 coursework into practice. Learners will gain experience in various settings with a focus on the healthy client. Learning the role of the Practical Nurse, personal care skills, organization of care, focused assessment, beginning medication administration and professional communication are emphasized in this course.

Prerequisites: PNUR 110   Professional Communication 1, PNUR 111   Professional Practice 1, PNUR 112   Health Promotions 1, PNUR 113   Variations in Health 1, PNUR 114   Pharmacology 1, and PNUR 115  Integrated Nursing Practice 1 
Non-Course Prerequisites: Post-admission requirements as detailed in the current Program Information and Completion Guide
Restrictions: Must be in the Practical Nurse Diploma Program (PNUR2).
